Request for approval of replacement windows installed at 2105 Tremont Avenue. At the time the work was completed, I was unaware that the property was located within a historic district. The original windows were in severe disrepair, with many sealed shut and no longer functional. The replacement windows were installed using the existing window openings and maintain the original size of the windows. Prior to selecting the replacements, I drove through the neighborhood to observe other homes and chose a style and color that would be compatible with the character of the area out of respect for the neighborhood and neighboring properties. The new windows improve safety, functionality, and energy efficiency while maintaining the overall appearance of the home as part of a broader restoration and improvement effort.
