Construct a 11.4' x 40' attached patio cover (11.4' x 30' shingle-roofed section at 4:12 pitch and 11.4' x 10' open pergola section). Structured is supported by (5) 6x6 PT posts resting on (5) 12" diameter x 18" deep core-drilled concrete piers with Simpson Strong-Tie post anchors. Roof framing consist of, to span 40', a double 2x10 header beam, a 2x8 house ledger with Z-bar flashing secured to the house band joist with code approved fasteners, and 2x6 rafters spaced at 16" O.C. secured with Simpson H2.5A hurricane ties on every rafter.
