This project includes the construction of a 474 SQFT broom-finish concrete patio extension paired with a fully engineered cedar gable patio cover. The patio extension will be poured using 3500 PSI concrete over a properly prepared and compacted 2" gravel sub-base, reinforced with 3/8" rebar at 18" centers and a vapor barrier to control moisture. Expansion joints will be installed against the home to protect the foundation, and all work will be completed with care to preserve existing landscaping. The patio cover will feature structurally engineered components including 8"x8" cedar posts anchored into 18"x18"x2' deep footings with rebar stirrups, 2"x12" beams, 2"x6" rafters spaced at 24" centers with a 1:12 slope, and a 2"x10" ridge board. The roofing system will consist of plywood decking, underlayment, and shingles for full weather protection, while the ceiling will be finished with painted Hardie board to match the home. Electrical will be installed for can lighting, outlets, and heaters (client-provided), with all work inspected and approved.
